It doesn't happen very often, but very rarely, we are lucky enough to capture on camera a spider doing something we hardly ever see one do. In this case, we get to watch young Flash, my 5th instar Avicularia versicolor leave the safety of her tube web, and proceed to directionally poo down the opposite side of her home ! Delightful. Well OK - more interesting than delightful, but I am very pleased indeed to be able bring you this moment of arachnid-based rarity !
Note the careful aiming, and force and directionality of the event itself. I cannot help but find this small fluffy blue spider hopelessly endearing ! |
