Why do you write the spider diaries ?

Lots of reasons, some of which are below...

 

1. Not enough people appreciate spiders, and far too many people fear them unecessarily. I'd like to do something to change that.

2.  The more people that look after these animals, and publish, the better...

Even thought my reports are 'pseudo-scientific', they are still contributing to the global tarantula knowledge base, which is all too short of information. I would make them more scientific if I didn't feel that we'd lose some accessability, and entertainment factors along the way, and writing the reports would be much less fun.

3.  The spiders fascinate me so much, I imagine they must do everyone else as well !

4. Look at them - they are amazing - how could I not share them with you ?
