Well, the spider is 'Boots', our favourite feisty GBB, so it will be starting fast and furious - regular viewers will know she is among the more enthusiastic of our charges, and today is no exception. Today, 3 crickets, (all strangely called Alan) meet their spidery doom, and then young Boots is extremely helpful in that she does the complete wrap and eat where I can get several cameras around her. So, hopefully nice, close-up, clear footage of a truly beautiful animal doing truly wonderful things. Spinnerets, fangs, and legs abound then, as we join Boots waiting outside her now heavily-webbed burrow entrance... enjoy...

 

 

She really is the best display spider I have, I think - uses her hide, but not often,  likes to bask , moult, and  eat in the open. investigates every disturbance without fail, and  does any other number of completely endearing and fascinating things.
