Hey everyone... A glorious new year to all of you from me and the girls ! Now little Binky has been taking over the spider diaries recently, because I want to show you all what a fascinating little growing thing she is, and this mail is no exception - here she is just on the verge of moulting (notice jet black and stretched / scruffy opisthosoma) and alread able to stretch her legs over a 10 cm bit of cork bark. I imagine she will reach 15 cm when the next moult finally happens...
But the start of the show today is Zebs, who was out and looking quite wonderful today, so i couldn't resist taking a few snaps. She is feeling very pleased with herself after the massive locust she has just eaten last night.

And sweet little Ginny is here for her photo roundup too, exhibiting another one of her unique and bizarre things to do - this time shes half sitting in the water bowl, and has been for 7 hours so far... bless her...

She really is a good girl these days, and rarely goes on the houdini missions that were a constant worry last year... she has also changed her mind, (being female i assume) and now likes the black field crickets that she has refused to touch since I first got her. I will return with hopefully some in-focus moult pics of Binky as she takes one more step towards giant-ness... Take it easy J, G, Z & B... |
